Art At The Riverside

The Emscher Art Festival take again place at the Ruhrgebiet in Germany. The triennial EMSCHERKUNST accompanies one of the largest conversion projects in the world along the Emscher River. The 81 kilometres of the Emscher River in the heart of the Ruhr region are the object of a generation project in which the river will be transformed back from being an open sewer to a natural river by 2020.

For ART-MAGAZIN I photographed an essay about the interaction of art in the public space and the visitors.
