Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world. I was commissioned by the aid organization “Deutsche Welthungerhilfe” to document various programs. Shortly before leaving, I made the acquaintance of a UNO human rights expert who made it possible for me to photograph this series within the Central Prison of Porto Prince. Here I decided I would dedicate a longer period of time to photographing federal penitentiaries. Up until now, I have been able to do this in Germany, Rwanda and here in Haiti.

MULTIMEDIA

This year I start a long term project about the situation in Haiti after the earthquake at the 12th January 2010. This projekt runs with the cooperation of the German NGO "Welthungerhilfe". For a start at June 2010 I produced in behalf of "Welthungerhilfe" a multimedia presentation in remembrance of the earthquake six month ago.
